NeeRaw’s roots in Indian food and Ayurveda can be traced back to more than 400 years.
NeeRaw was a well-known rural health drink in the pre-independence era. People suffering from Jaundice, Tuberculoses and including pregnant women were advised to consume NeeRaw every day before sunrise, as they believed, post sun rise temperature increases and NeeRaw starts fermenting to convert into TODDY.
Neera’s fermentation is caused due to rise in temperature, after sunrise, temperature climbs and fermentation also peaks
Actually NEERA’s fermentation begins above 4® Celsius temperature. Except for the Himalayan belt, all other regions in India will clock a temperature above 4° C, including the winter nights. Hence, who all consumed Neera in the early mornings have also consumed fermented Neera with at least some amount of alcohol and not the Neera in its purest form
We use specially designed insulated boxes and refill ice in the mornings and evenings, so every DROP of NEERA collected is contained at 0® Celsius temperature and is also processed and reaches the customer to SIP Neera at below 4° C temperature
